A lot of handyman quotes in Cheshire are still given as an hourly rate plus a call-out fee — which means you don't really know the final cost until the job's done. Every job here is priced upfront and published on the site before you even pick up the phone: what's quoted is what's paid, there's no call-out or travel charge anywhere in Runcorn, Frodsham or Helsby, and if a job ever needs more once I'm on site, that's agreed with you first — never added on afterwards.
