Plumbing — the small jobs
- Replacing taps — you choose the tap, I fit it
- Re-sealing baths, showers and sinks
- Small leak repairs
- Fixing running, leaking or wobbly toilets
- Replacing waste pipes and traps under sinks and basins
- Shower heads, hoses, riser rails, screens and seals
- Bleeding radiators to fix cold spots before the winter months come in
- Fitting a washing machine
I don't unblock drains.
No gas work of any kind — including boilers, gas pipes or appliances. If you need a Gas Safe registered engineer, I'll point you the right way.
Electrical — small, safe, like-for-like
- Like-for-like light fittings, switches and sockets
- Extractor fans (same wiring)
- Bathroom pull-cord switches
- Recessed downlights replaced like-for-like — no new holes cut
Non-notifiable work only. All electrical work I carry out is non-notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations — like-for-like replacements that do not require notification to Building Control. I do not carry out new wiring, new circuits or any work that falls under notifiable electrical work. If that is what is needed, I will say so and point you to a qualified electrician.
I test every socket, switch and light, and make sure the power is safely off before I start and that everything's safe and working when I finish.
